Arriving in Fiji!

It already feels like I've been travelling for a long time, but finally this morning we touched down in Fiji.

I've already got a good feeling about this place- I love how green it is everywhere, even here in Suva. The long, 4hr bus gave me a good chance to get a look at the island (there wasn't much else to do!) and it was fascinating to see how much more modern it is here in Suva compared to the rest of the country.

The view from the end of our road

We're staying just down the road from the hospital (CWMH) in a cute little apartment. It seems really nice so far- clean, comfortable and even better, laundry is included, though we've already piled our basket high with clothes, so they may regret that offer when they see it tomorrow morning!

Our cute living room

The hospital itself looks a little bit ramshackle from the outside but we'll have to check it out properly in the morning when we try to get started on the whole medical elective thing. After searching our emails we've still no idea where to go first, so who knows what's going to happen!
